Crocus vernus more commonly known as large flowered crocus are one of the easiest bulb varieties to grow, the intense rich colours look spectacular in early spring and it has a multitude of uses in the garden, the deep purple-blue goblet shaped blooms are a rich source of food for bees and are perfect for naturalising in grass, make stunning displays in spring beds or borders, can be planted amongst other shrubs, in woodlands areas and in pots or containers both indoor and outside.
